Otaku dad!! 
So, the purpose of the gods in the story is to pick up orphans and "be" their parents. Jacob is the 'father' of the good and mean teams (without changing the family tree or something like that X3 I don't want everyone to be suddenly related). Well, he's just the 'dad' figure for the kids.
He's a huge fan of Anime. I kinda made a mistake when I made a comic with him being so upbeat about when "Naruto" would end. And so that's that. He's an Otaku now (if you don't like that then go blame Amnes' cousin)
I named him before I discovered Twilight, I swear.
